Junior Men's Trap competition on Saturday-Sunday 6.-7.6.2015

Vili Kopra from Finland won the junior men trap competition. Italian Francesco Idone shot the best qualification result with 113 hits. After qualification Martin Siemsen Larser from Norway and Ian O'Sullivan from Ireland had the same score so last final place was decided with a shoot-off. Siemsen Larsen won the shoot-off 3-2. Vili Kopra shot the best result 13 in the semifinal, Nikita Egorov from Russia second best result 12. They met in the gold medal game which Kopra won 13-11. Maxim Kabatskiy (semi 11) from Russia and Francesco Idone (semi 10) met in the bronze medal match. They needed a shoot-off to determine the bronze. Kabatskiy won the shoot-off 7-6. Martin Siemsen Larsen was fifth and Akash Saharan was sixth.

Junior men's trap team competition had nine teams. Russia won the team competition with the result of 319. Shooters in the Russian team were Nikita Egorov, Maxim Kabatskiy and Nikita Bekasov. Indian team 1 was second with the result of 307. Shooters in the team were Akash Saharan, Kismat Chopra and Lakshay. Finland's team 1 was third with the result of 302. Shooters in that team were Vili Kopra, Eemil Pirttisalo and Niko Kopra.

Junior Men's Skeet competition on Saturday-Sunday 6.-7.6.2015

Indian Anantjeet Singh Naruka won the junior men's skeet competition. His team-mate Angadvir Singh Bajwa shot the best qualifying result with 119 targets. In the semifinal Lari Pesonen from Finland shot the best result 15 out of 16 and qualified to gold medal match. Naruka, Bajwa and Italian Matteo Chiti all shot 13 targets in the semifinal and they had a shoot off from which the best qualified to gold medal match and second and third to the bronze medal match. Naruka shot 5, Bajwa and Chiti 3. In the bronze medal match Bajwa and Chiti both shot 12 targets and had a shootoff which Bajwa won By 6-5. In the gold medal match Naruka beat Pesonen 12-11. Finnish shooters Samuli Ahokas and Timi Vallioniemi were fifth and sixth.

Junior men's skeet team competition had five teams. India won the team competition this year with the result of 331. Shooters in Indian team were Angadvir Singh Bajwa, Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Arjun Mann. Russia was second with the result of 324 and Finland team 1 was third with only 1 target less than Russia.

Junior Women's Trap competition on Saturday 6.6.2015

Russian Iuliia Tugolukova won the junior women's trap competition. Although Italian Alessia Iezzi shot the best result in the qualifying with 68 targets. Tugulukova shot the best result in the semifinal with 12 hits. Second best in the semifinal was Christin Hilmer from Germany. Gold medal match ended 12-8 for Tugulukova. In the bronze medal match Alessia Iezzi won Ekaterina Subbotina 11-9. Iezzi had already shot a shoot off for place in the bronze medal match 2-1 against  Iuliia Saveleva from Russia. So Saveleva was fifth and Kirti Gupta from India sixth.

Russia, Germany and India had teams in the junior women's trap competition. Russia won the team competition with the result of 174. Shooters in the Russian team were Ekaterina Subbotina, Iuliia Saveleva and Iuliia Tugolukova. Germany was second with 155 targets and Indian was third with 130 targets.

Junior Women's Skeet competition on Saturday 6.6.2015

Russia dominated also junior women's skeet competition by winning competition and team competition. Esmee van der Veen (NED) shot the best result with 68 targets in the qualification.  Alina Fazylzyanova (RUS) and Franziska Kurzer (GER) shot both 60 targets in the qualification and they shot a shootoff to the final because only one them had a place to the final. Fazylzyanova won the shootoff by 2-1. Victoria Ostapets (RUS) and Fazylzyanova both shot 13 targets in the semifinal and went to the gold medal match. Both hit 12 targets in the gold medal match, shoot off ended 2-1 for Fazylzyanova. Chiara Di Marziantonio (ITA) was third by shooting 10 in semifinal and 15 in bronze medal match against Katrin Wieslhuber (GER) who shot 12 in semifinal and 14 in medal match.

In the junior women skeet competition three countries had enough shooters to enter the team competition.  Russian ladies (Ekaterina Filimonova, Victoria Ostapets and Alina Fazylzyanova) won the team competition with 183 targets. Germany was second with 164 targets and India was third with 145 targets.

Junior Men's Double trap competition on Thursday 4.6.2015

Russia dominated the junior men's double trap competition on Thursday as they did also last year. The russian juniors took all the medals. Kirill Fokeev (RUS) shot the best result on the qualification with 131 targets. In the semifinal Danil Zimarev (RUS) had the best result with 26 targets and Kirill Fokeev second best with 25 targets. Those two went to the gold medal match. Viacheslav Yukhimenko (RUS) ja Miki Ylönen (FIN) shot both 23 targets and went to bronze medal match. Kamil Khusaenov (RUS) was fifth with 22 targets and Jaisal Singh (IND) was sixth with 18 targets. In the bronze medal match Yukhimenko won Ylönen by 28-23 and in the gold medal match Zimarev won Fokeev by 26-23.

Danil Zimarev and Miki Ylönen won places to cup final in Suhl, Germany because Kirill Fokeev and Viacheslav Yukhimenko already had places from Porpetto competition.

In the team competition three countries had enough shooters to enter a team to the competition. India had enough shooters to enter two teams to the competition. Russia (with Viacheslav Yukhimenko, Kamil Khusaenov and Danil Zimarev) won the team competition with almost 40 targets better result than team number two which was India's first team (with Jaisal Singh, Ahvar Rizvi and Priyanshu Pandey). Russian's result was 371 and India's 332. Third in the team competition was India's second team (with Vihan Shardul, Divye Pratap Singh and Divye Pratap Singh).

Teams from India, Italy and Russia have been training for a few days. Team Germany arrived today and we are waiting for the other teams to arrive. Today it is time for official training for Double Trap. You can find the timetable from here.

Welcome to Orimattila during week 23 to the 7th International Junior Shotgun Cup.

This year our competition is the second competition in the traditional junior cup series (Porpetto-Orimattila-Suhl).
